Location

The Jukola art community is located in a beautiful small village of Hiisijärvi. The village is near the geographical centerpoint of Finland, in the municipality of Ristijärvi (1600 inhabitants). The larger centers of Sotkamo and Ristijärvi are both located 30 kilometers from Hiisijärvi, and the city of Kajaani is 60 kilometers away from Jukola.

There are cheap flights to Kuopio and Oulu (airBaltic.com), two hour train ride away from Kontiomäki, but also to Tampere (ryanair.com). You also can fly to Kajaani (finnair.com).

The nearest railway station is Kontiomäki which is 38 kilometres towards Kajaani. We can pick up customers from the train station by car, but there are also some bus connections to Ristijärvi. More information about timetables from VR (for train connections) and Matkahuolto (for bus connections).
